"Let Food be the Medicine, and Medicine be thy food." - Hippocrates

This guiding principle is a cornerstone of holistic medicine. Clinical nutrition is an assessment of the food we eat, how it impacts our body, and how it is metabolized. It is also an assessment of micronutrients and their role in sustaining vitality and ensuring that our metabolic processes are functioning optimally. Sometimes the food and supplements we consume - even if they are healthy - contribute to disease in our body, and the mere elimination of them restores health. What works for one person may be toxic for another. This is why as a holistic practitioner, I customize my clinical nutrition assessment and recommendations, specific to the individual and his or her health needs.

What is Clinical Nutrition?

Clinical Nutrition is the use of personalized nutritional assessment to create a nutrition plan that is customized for optimal health, detoxification, and rejuvenation.

What does a Clinical Nutrition assessment evaluate?

  • Food allergies

  • Food sensitivities

  • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies

  • Impairments in biochemical pathways

  • Inflammatory markers

What common conditions can a Clinical Nutrition assessment benefit?

Food and nutrition are an integral part of health and wellness, and everyone can benefit from optimizing their nutritional intake regardless of the disease or condition from which they suffer. There are certain conditions, however, that can be reversed, managed, or prevented with appropriate nutritional intervention including:

  • Autoimmune disease

  • Heart Disease

  • Type II Diabetes

  • Obesity

  • Acne & Eczema

  • Allergies & Asthma

  • Migraines & Headaches

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Stress

The role of Clinical Nutrition in Holistic Medicine?

Nutrition is a building block for health, but is often overlooked and ignored until one falls ill. Finding the right "diet" or meal plan can be challenging and confusing, especially with the contradictory information we receive regarding nutrition. However, the contradictory information and failure of fad diets can be attributed to their generalized approach to nutrition, without considering bio-individuality - no two people can have the same exact nutritional needs because no two people have the same DNA. As a holistic practitioner, I take time to understand and evaluate your bio-individual needs that are personalized for you, so that you can gain back your health and wellness.
